Porch Time

Today the porch was our place of playtime!  Cam loves to experiment with her new moves.  She's doing lots of rolling around these days!  I caught her in action going from front to back.  Levi's afternoon nap was fast approaching but he hung in there for a brief period.  They both enjoyed the change of scenery before the 5 minute downpour.

 Cameron loves the outdoors!

Comin' at 'ya!

And...OVER!

Well I learned a new word today - Bloomers.  Read the following vocabulary lesson:
Juli:  Cam's little diaper cover is SO CUTE!  Where did you get it?
Lindley:  What do you mean diaper cover?  Are you talking about bloomers?  Little panty things?
Juli:  Yeah, panty things (sorry, mother of a boy HAHA)
Lindley:  LOL!  I was thinking the same thing!  'Mothers of boys' don't know all the girly lingo :) Haha.  Gotcha.  Yes those are called bloomers.

Here's an action shot of Levi jumping in the Exersaucer.  I'm fairly certain that he will jump before age 2.

Everything is so new and exciting - even leaves!

Ladies get the seats.  Levi is such a gentleman!

Shall I change the setting for you, my dear?

The mystery of Peter Rabbit is solved!  It was  in fact a neighbor.  She stopped by to say hello and even played a guitar song for us!  Although Levi's daddy plays for him all the time, he was a little hesitant to touch this guitar.  He appreciated the music but wasn't ready to play today.  Cameron, on the other hand accepted the invitation and strummed away!  I love the randomness of meeting this kind woman.  She is such a sweet and gentle person and it was so refreshing to visit with her today.  I love the little ones, but sometimes I miss the adult interaction. So, I am already looking forward to next time.

She played a beautiful song called "Be Thou My Vision" by Eleanor Hull, 1912

Be thou my vision, O Lord of my heart;
Naught be all else to me, save that thou art.
Thou my best thought by day or by night,
Waking or sleeping, thy presence my light.

Be thou my wisdom, thou my true word;
I ever with thee and thou with me Lord;
Thou my great Father, I thy true son;
Thou in me dwelling, and I with thee one.

Be thou my breastplate, sword for the fight;
Be thou my dignity, thou my delight;
Thy my soul's shelter, thou my high tower:
Raise thou me heavenward, O Power of my power.

Riches I heed not, nor man's empty praise,
Thou mine inheritance now and always:
Thou and thou only first in my heart,
High Kind of Heaven, my treasure thou art.

High King of Heaven, my victory won,
May I reach Heaven's joys, O Bright Heaven's Sun!
Heart of my own heart, whatever be fall,
Still my vision, O Ruler of all.

  1. Great pictures Julianna! This blog is precious and something you will treasure in the future. Cam is a lucky little girl, as are her parents for having an awesome nanny who gives those babies undivided attention all day long.
